Grants And Publications

Researchers from RK University have been successful in receiving extramural research funding from the ERASMUS+ (the European Union programme), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), India, Department of Science and Technology’s Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Gujarat State Biotechnology Mission(GSBTM), Govt. of Gujarat, Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Industries and Mines Department, Govt of Gujarat in recent years. During the past several years, researchers from RK University have published their experimental findings in renowned journals with a Clarivate Analytics Impact Factor - Web of Science Group (JCR) and/or with a SCImago Journal Ranking (SJR). Both of these journal metrics have been globally accepted by the scientific community. India’s National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) gives special emphasis on these two widely accepted metrics. The Faculty of Doctoral Studies & Research (FDSR) at RK University encourages researchers to submit their manuscripts only to those journals that have these two metrics

About RK University

Established under the Gujarat Private Universities Act of 2009, RK University has consistently received recognition and accolades from renowned organizations such as Microsoft, Infosys, IUCEE, ISTE, TCS, DNA, Engineering Watch, and Wipro. RKU’s faculty members have secured a significant amount of extramural research funding from various government and non-government funding agencies. RKU’s leadership comprises researchers and academicians from renowned institutes of learning. Nobel Laureate Dr. Alan J. Heeger delivered a video speech during RK University’s First International Conference on Research & Entrepreneurship (ICRE 2016). RK University has also been successful in coordinating the Fourth International Conference on Transformations in Engineering Education (ICTIEE 2017) on its scenic campus. Distinguished dignitaries from the United States, Europe, India, and Australia visited RK University during ICTIEE 2017. During 18-19 January 2019, the National Conference on Recent Innovations in Science (NCRIS)-2019 was organized and renowned scientists from India delivered the talks. One of the speakers, Padma Shri Awardee Dr. Y. S. Rajan delivered keynote address and interacted with the audience. There was NCRIS-2018 held during 19-20 January 2018, RKU invited communities of innovators, scientists, research scholars and students throughout the India to hear and learn from dynamic personalities. On December 16th and 17th 2019, RKU organized ICOSTART 2019 - a two-day International research conference and summit on Innovations, Startups and Investments with capacity building workshops by INTUIT and Ulster University, UK. The conference was co-organized along with Western Sydney University, Australia in partnership with International Centre for Technology and Entrepreneurship-iCreate and 100X VC- a SEBI monitored seed fund from Mumbai and was supported by Industries Commissionerate, Govt. of Gujarat, GUJCOST, SSIP- Govt. of Gujarat. Over 300 people participated in the conference. Besides India the conference attracted speakers and participants from Australia, Bulgaria, Philippines, Ireland, Sri Lanka and China. ICMSI-2020, International Conference on Molecular Structure & Instrumental Approaches was organized during November 26th and 27th 2020. This conference was organized in association with Indian Society of Chemists and Biologists (ISCB) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), UK. The participants of various countries like France, USA, Sri Lanka, Singapore have taken advantage of this event by virtual presentations and interactions. There were three 'best presentation awards' provided by RSC of worth more than $16000 as free access to RSC journals subscription. The Faculty of Doctoral Studies & Research at RK University organizes training workshops, seminars, conferences, and provides strong support to all research-related activities across the RKU campus.
